About the Breed
Labrador Retrievers are known for their friendly nature and intelligence. Originating in Newfoundland, Canada, they were initially bred as working dogs, helping fishermen with tasks like retrieving nets and catching fish that escaped from lines. Physically, they have a sturdy, athletic build, a dense, water-resistant double coat. Their temperament is typically gentle and playful, making them great with children and other pets.
