This is a very thorough test covering lots of genes, however, the results can be a little confusing on some of the genes.

I purchased this as a present for someone. The results produced were amazing and very helpful. However, there was no owner name to put in on the website order form, so the results listed me as the dog owner. I suggest you put an owner field on your form (or a gift checkbox). This makes a great present for someone who has everything!

Insightful and Easy—A Must-Try for Curious Dog Owners
I tested my family's Chihuahua-Terrier mix, and it was a fantastic experience! It was so fun to compare what I already knew about my dog (we've been together for 12 years) with the insights the test provided, especially regarding her behavior traits. I found it really interesting to see how her genetics align with her quirks and personality.
While the test didn’t include breed composition, I’m excited to see that option offered in the future, as I adopted her from the ASPCA and have no idea about her exact breeds. Overall, the process was easy, informative, and gave me even more appreciation for my little companion! Highly recommend it to anyone curious about their pet’s traits and health. It was an easy process to do too!

In-Depth Results, Fast Turnaround, and User-Friendly Reports.
I recently used the AlphadogDNA platform as a gift to a few of my friends and we were amazed at the depth of their results. It was also fast and easy, and we got the results back within 2 weeks after submitting the sample.
I do like their behavior traits, which are labeled as "Early Discovery" but many do actually apply well to the dogs tested.
Also good is that they have a section on the first page highlighting the "Notable Health Traits", as they test for so many!!
Another feature I like is that each trait in the pdf report is actually linked to a webpage so I can read more on the traits of interest.
We were overall very satisfied and will test here again.

Accurate and Fun—Perfect Gift for Dog Lovers
Good info, happy with the results. Cameo came back as not having any health variants detected— which was a relief having a poodle. She has a lot of separation anxiety and it was interesting to see that she showed as highly likely for that. She also is overly attached to me. So was fun to see that she was likely for attachment too. Fun test, bought one for my daughter.
